Each little goat has its own personality; from liking raspberries, roses, flower garden, vegtable garden, fence climbing, to coming in the house (we soon learned not to bring bottle babies into the house for they feel very comfortable) some people learn faster than us. |

Farm is now being worked by the Third generation and sheep have been here
since 1959. For several years the sheep decisions were made mostly for
the pounds of wool in the bag. My father was a commercial sheep shearer
and sheared in many of the western states so he acquired a like for good
wool and good sheep. The sheep are being raised by my father and brother.
So when Mary Ann and our twin daughters, Alice and Angie came home with
the idea of Angora goats for a 4-H project I agreed. An appointment was made to visit Coon Hollow. Diane's excitement for Angora Goats was catching and we soon had our won fiber farm underway. Mary Ann's first trip to a fiber show in Oregon added six Alpaca. So here we are. In the spring we will have prize winning stock available and at present we have some Mohair and Alpaca Fleece. In the future we will start blending fine wool into our product line. |
